Cynthia Hunt is Senior Vice President, External Affairs at the Center for Financial Services Innovation. Philanthropic and corporate support are pivotal components to CFSI’s success in achieving our bold vision for the future of consumer financial services, so Ms. Hunt stewards existing partnerships while fostering new donor relationships. Her perspective on marketplace innovation has been shaped by experience at working with professional and financial services firms to grow their brand position, marketplace visibility, and client portfolio.
Prior to joining CFSI, Ms. Hunt spent over twelve years at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, most recently serving as National Leader, Geography Marketing with leadership responsibility for field marketing, strategic client programs, and alumni network activities across the U.S. firm. In 2009, she led the launch of the Women Leaders in Financial Services series, a peer networking program empowering executives to better navigate organizational and regulatory change during the economic crisis. She also designed and led PwC Chicago’s highly regarded civic & charitable engagement strategy via management of the firm’s community relations, corporate giving, board placement, cause related events, sponsorships, and employee volunteer programs in Chicago.
For nearly a decade, Ms. Hunt served as Director and Chicago Site Leader for Deutsche Bank AG, where she covered multinational clients in the automotive, chemical, healthcare, and agri-business sectors. She began her career in financial services industry working in the corporate banking division of First Interstate Bank Ltd. (now Wells Fargo).
Her personal philanthropy includes appointment as a Trustee of the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago where she chairs the Audit Committee and serves on the Executive and Finance Committees. She also attends Camp CEO as a mentor to young women involved with the Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana and serves as a Board Member of Lifeline Theatre, an ensemble based arts organization producing original works, literary adaptations, and educational programs. She is proud to be a founder and past chair of venture philanthropy program of Young Leaders Fund of the Chicago Community Trust.
Ms. Hunt graduated with a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Southern California, with honors at graduation where she was bestowed the Order of the Laurel as one of the five women displaying outstanding leadership, scholarship, and service to the University. She holds an M.B.A. in International Finance from Loyola Marymount University and is also a Certified Public Accountant.
