Carol Brown is Vice President, Finance and Operations at the Center for Financial Services Innovation. Ms. Brown is responsible for the overall management and cohesive integration of core operations, finance and internal control, human resources, facilities, information technology, and resource development to support and advance CFSI’s programs and overall mission. She works collaboratively with programmatic staff on the full range of CFSI activities, and serves as a resource for all programs and services within CFSI. Serving as a key member of the CFSI leadership team, Ms. Brown contributes to the strategic direction of the organization by optomizing CFSI's infrastructure to support the program and service delivery efforts of CFSI staff.
Ms. Brown brings private, public, and nonprofit experience to her position at CFSI. Immediately prior to joining CFSI, Ms. Brown was Director of Finance and Operations in the independent school sector in Seattle, WA. In this capacity, she was a key member of the leadership team in mission driven academic institutions, where her focus on fiscal and operational controls enabled the orgainization to focus on contributions to the student learning community. Prior to this, Ms. Brown managed new product and market development in the environmental field with the Washington State Department of Trade and Economic Development and also has experience in sales, marketing, and operations management in the consumer products retail sector.
Ms. Brown graduated from Princeton University with a B.A. in Policy and a certificate from the Science in Human Affairs Program. She has completed graduate studies in Forest Management and Policy and has received an MBA from the University of Washington.
