Libertad Bank is a hybrid of community bank and a check casher that recently opened to provide financial services to Hispanics in Texas. Some of the ways in which the bank is approaching this market is by offering services such as prepaid cellular cards at the teller window, having a completly bilingual staff, cashing checks for non-customers and providing checkless accounts to ease those new to banking into the system.
