CFSI Convenes Financial Services Industry Executives to Propel Underserved Innovation
Innovators Roundtable to Focus on Regulation, Access to Credit and Household Income Data
CHICAGO, IL - October 2, 2012 –The Center for Financial Services Innovation (CFSI) today commenced the Innovators Roundtable meeting in Chicago, IL and announced expansion of the group with the 2012 additions of Blackhawk Network, LexisNexis, MoneyGram, and Regions Bank. The fall meeting will focus on catalyzing innovation and action among financial thought leaders and innovators, all united in a commitment to better serve financially underserved consumers.
“The Innovators Roundtable represents a gathering of senior representatives from many of the nation’s largest and most influential financial services companies. I’m pleased that Tony Hadley, Senior Vice President, Government Affairs and Public Policy, Experian, will join the Roundtable to share insights on how the regulatory landscape impacts consumers, the industry, and product design,” said Karen Biddle Andres, Senior Manager and Consultant, Advisory Services.
In addition, attendees will be introduced to Raul Vazquez, Chief Executive Officer of Progreso Financiero, who will share his company’s experience in developing high quality, small dollar loan products that improve financial outcomes for underserved consumers. Both J. Michael Collins, Director of University of Wisconsin’s Center for Financial Security, and José Quiñonez, Executive Director, Mission Asset Fund, and newly appointed Chairperson of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s Consumer Advisory Board, will contribute to a discussion about new data collected on low-income consumers and their financial behaviors.
