Maria Lajewski
Maria Lajewski is Senior Associate, Development at the Center for Financial Services Innovation. In this position, Maria works cross-functionally to manage strategic alliances and resource development activities to service relationships with a wide array of stakeholders from the public, private and nonprofit sectors.
Prior to CFSI, Ms. Lajewski worked with the Center for Economic Progress (CEP), which operates one of the largest free-tax preparation programs in Illinois. At CEP, Ms. Lajewski managed stakeholder relationships and led an innovative, asset-building pilot to leverage the tax-time moment as an opportunity to move low-income consumers closer to financial security. Through this experience, Ms. Lajewski developed a deep understanding of the financial services needs of low-income consumers and a passion for building a more vibrant financial services marketplace.
Ms. Lajewski graduated magna cum laude from Beloit College with a B.A. in Economics and Sociology.
