Roundtables  |  Innovators Roundtable

CFSI founded its Innovators Roundtable in September 2006, bringing together nationally significant financial services companies from across the entire supply chain.  All operate on the cutting edge of underbanked business practice, and have the resources and visibility to make substantial contributions to the group's work.

Together, members develop research, strategic thinking and special projects designed to advance the industry's underbanked knowledge and practice. The goal is stimulate transformative change while supporting individual roundtable members' initiatives and enhancing their competitiveness in the marketplace.

In addition to formal twice-yearly meetings, members cooperate on projects determined by the group, assisted by CFSI staff. Each member company designates two senior executives as primary representatives, with the opportunity to bring additional executives to meetings, with CFSI's approval, to increase internal understanding and support for underbanked initiatives. Members make a two-year commitment, including a yearly financial contribution, in addition to their participation in project work.

Current roundtable initiatives are focused on the use of alternative data sources in underwriting to reach consumers with thin- and no-credit files, and developing better information and segmentation tools to understand the various segments of underbanked consumers. Members are building methods to share existing internal data while protecting vital confidential information and business strategy.

The eleven member companies are:

Citigroup Diebold
EFD/eFunds Corporation Experian
GE Money H&R Block
HSBC Mastercard
US Bank Wal-Mart
Wells Fargo
